I collected all but 4 or 5 of these when they first came out. A couple of them I found musty and discolored in the basement of the bike shop where I worked.
Unfortunately, all are packed away in a box in Oklahoma now, or I would have to take them all out to peruse once again...
I have most of those. But there are about 7 or so I would love to see, is there a copyright issue with scanning in some articles (say the Jeff Pierce Unsung Hero article)?
Wow, I remember nearly every one of those. The LeMond '85 Sports Illustrated article was my first memory of a euro-specific read, but Winning was THE source. Do you have covers of their TDF oversize issues?
I too had almost all of them being a subscriber for 5+ years. Does anyone have/remember the BIG/large format(18" x 26" ish) Tour de France Specials they put out for several years? I worked at TURIN in Evanston, Illinois and nabbed one every year. Unfortunately, after 20 years of moving them around, they were lost to time.... GREAT MEMORIES and SUPER POST, Thank You KTR/Mike !
