From Cat 5 to mixing it up with the Pros in less than three years
Colin at T-Town on August 20, 2010
As you can see in the video below, the Friday night pro/amateur racing at T-Town was fast and furious. Colin Prensky from Kissena Track who was only a Cat 5 three years ago on the track was invited to race with the big guns - Giddeon Massey, New Zealand National team, Bobby Lea etc, . He placed fifth in one race, sixth in another, got caught up in a crash in the 48 lap10 mile final, yet he managed to get back on his bicycle bruised, bloodied and skin suit shredded to finish the race with the main field. Not bad for a part time weekend racer. The next day Colin returned to T-Town to ride a 1:10 kilo of which the fastest time of the day was by David Espinosa at 1:06, who did not race on Friday night.
