Brancale Giro Helmet

Funny how the more things change the more they remain the same. Today I discovered one of my old racing helmets from the 80s in my parent's garage. It was one of those helmets which appeared on the scene around the same time as the Giro foam cooler material helmet. At that time it was not fashionable to wear helmets in training, since everyone wanted to look like the pros, who wore no helmets, or if they did, it was one of those rubbery things which would bounce your head around if you hit the pavement. Take a look at the modern Casco Warp helmet and compare it with the lines of the old Brancale Giro helmet, notice the lines are virtually the same.
