“They are used to training and racing on timber track where the conditions are controlled. The competition here was on an outdoor track. The cyclists failed to control the track and the hot and windy conditions that comes with it,” he said.
“It is important for the elite cyclists to take stock of this and not get too comfortable.
“They must redeem themselves at the Commonwealth and Asian Games in New Delhi and Guangzhou respectively as we aim to strike gold there.”
